Mathematical Modelling of Shear Cutting Process of Grain Oriented Electrical Steels Using Regression Modelling

This article proposes a regression model for the shear-cutting process of grain-oriented electrical steel magnetic cores transformers made from different gages and properties steels. In experimental runs, 3 levels thickness (230, 270, 300 µm) 4 features steels are considered. Core supplied as foils slit to designed lengths in slitting machinery along rolling direction coils. The best rely on coil transverse is subject process. result cutting operations, discontinuities, degradations may occur because deterioration crystallography strain gradation laminated sheets. Shear-cutting factors have strong influence degradation even magnitude no-load loss transformer core. this study, mathematical relation between shear sheet ST, counts hits CH, response burr length BL determined using modeling. For purpose, parameters GEORG TBA 400 cut-to-length use core production studied. calculated coefficient determination close almost 1.00 i.e., R2 = 0.9896 which means sufficient response, obtained with good prediction performance. aim present study building up useful control tool raise discussion alike industry.
